We make wines with concentration and texture to compliment wild, local, and foraged foods and strive to preserve a sensory connection between the land and the palate. Located in the Wairarapa, we hand-pick grapes from across the region to provide the best expression of our region.

It is natural for me to connect closely with the produce sustained by the land I love, have grown or that is collected by my hands. My offering to you is a promise to honor the intimate relationship between food security and our whenua; kiatiakitanga. Our mission at Huntress is to share with you thoughtful wines, with strong, enduring, complex, and life-sustaining character. Wines that are a natural extension of who I am and a reflection of who I want to become.
NURTURED VINES
At the foundation of every bottle of Huntress wine is how we care for our whenua (land) and our whānau (family). In the Māori worldview, Kaitiakitanga is expressed as guardianship to ensure the wellbeing and a sustainable future for all. Kaitiakitanga is the first principle of both our wine production and the harvesting and hunting of local and regional kai to complement our beautiful wines.
