Kuratea in te reo Māori translates to light red. This wine sits somewhere in that realm between a Rosé and more classically crafted Pinot Noir. A perfect introduction into red wine.

The fruit comes from Stad-Ko Vineyard south of Martinborough village, and was very gently handled to give a fresh and expressive style of Pinot Noir. Cool fermentation has retained bright and fruity aromatics, minimal extraction of the grapes has kept the tannin fine, light and crunchy.

This wine presents a savoury aroma with wild herbs and notes of brambly blackberry jube reminiscent of Black Forest chocolate. The palate is a delightful burst of juicy fruit, offering a light and gracefully refreshing experience, especially when served chilled.
